Archangel Chamuel

36x36" Mixed media, acrylic, and leather. Gallery wrapped on 1.5" thick stretcher bars.
 
This Archangel is represented by the color light pink, he is considered the Archangel of Love and Enlightenment, the angel of Peaceful relationships and so, I remembered the image of an open lotus flower with a bee on it but then I added a second one to signify the lotus flower holding the relationship of the bee. Initially, I thought of making the bees with wool, but they didn’t look good, so I cut out some black suede and painted the whites and yellows on it, it achieved the result that I was looking for.
